From Promise to Fruition

Have you ever carried a promise or a dream or a word in your heart that you only half-way believed in? That the fruit of that promise or dream or word seemed too big or unattainable or too much time has passed so that means the seed must be dormant or a bust?
But what if one day that seed starts to sprout.

” “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.'”
Isaiah 55:9-11

God’s word and dream and promise does not come back void.
Our dormant period is our preparation period. God’s ways and thoughts are bigger than our own. He sees everything from a better perspective.

Eight years ago, God gave me a vision of my life. It included places, faces, ministries, people, and words. In between then and now, I took a lot of detours. At one point I was not even living my life with God.

But God is a loving, redeemed, merciful, restoring, and faithful God.
He saw me in the mess I made and walked with me through the process of getting my life back on track. Now I am preparing for a mission trip to Mozambique, one of the places God showed me eight years ago!

Romans 8:28 ” And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

I want to encourage you to hold onto that promise or that dream or that word. Pray over it, be faithful in the waiting, and be active. Trust God, trust His timing, and trust the process.

One day that little seed will sprout and the fruit will come, because our God is a faithful God.
